Thursday is expected to be cloudy with rain and southerly winds. Northern areas will have scattered clouds and rain in the afternoon with temperatures ranging from 6C-13C. Western parts of the country will have temperatures ranging between 9C-15C. Eastern areas will have rain and local thunderstorms in the afternoon with temperatures between 5C-16C. Clouds and rain over the islands, 10C-18C.

Torrential rains and gale force winds, thunderstorms and in some places hail, have hit the Balkans in the beginning of September, local media outlets reported, Tuesday.

Code Orange and Code Red warnings have been issued in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Croatia due to the potentially dangerous weather.

The heavy rains and the large hail that hit Bulgaria in the last week are expected to continue for ten more days, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.

The bad weather has brought thunderstorms and torrential rains throughout the country. Dozens of vehicles, houses, orchards and roads have been damaged due to the large hail.
