Atromitos Athens have recorded a huge upset by defeating AEK Athens in the Greek Super League 1-0 away from home at OAKA stadium. The victory, which came through an Abiola Dauda goal on 59′, means the Peristeri team displaced leaders PAOK of Thessaloniki from top spot on the ladder.

Former Portugal international Ricardo Sa Pinto has been appointed coach of Atromitos, the Greek Super League club said on Wednesday.

The 41-year-old, who managed OFI Crete in Greece's top flight last season, has signed a two-year deal.

"Atromitos is very pleased to announce that the Portuguese Ricardo Sa Pinto is the new coach of our team,» the club said in a brief statement.

The president of bunkering company Eteka SA, Giorgos Spanos, was expected to be released on bail on Wednesday after being arrested in connection to an alleged illegal fuel smuggling ring. Also expected to be bailed was an Eteka SA member of staff and a Ministry of Environment employee.
