More time granted for EFKA payments

The management of the Single Social Security Entity (EFKA) on Thursday announced an extension to the deadline for the payment of January contributions and the submission of employment records until March 31 for all workers.

EFKA has also extended the period for the payment of February contributions to April 13.

EKAS allowance to be abolished earlier than expected

Greece’s lenders request the EKAS allowance to be abolished earlier than it was first scheduled or change the income criteria for this year, so as more pensioners will not qualify for EKAS, in order to cover the gap of 100 million euros created after deciding the low pensioners will not be asked to return it retrospectively.
