The Commission for Consumer Protection  published tips on what to do if an ATM swallows our card. This may happen due to software, technical, and other issues with the device.

Here are some helpful consumer tips provided by Commission for Consumer Protection experts:

 · Failed to withdraw money from ATM? What to do?

Bank clients using the cash machines of other lenders to make withdrawals will face a significant hike in the charges levied by the machines' owners as of next week.

They may stand to pay as much as 3 euros per transaction for withdrawals from an account in another Greek bank.

Unidentified assailants targeted a bank ATM in the Athens suburb of Aghios Dimitrios in the early hours of Monday, damaging the machine but causing no injuries.

According to the police, the assailants used dynamite to cause the explosion at the ATM at 4 a.m.

Two Bulgarians have been detained for the installation of a skimmer and a camera at an ATM in the luxury shopping complex Han Market, in the Indian capital Delhi, local media reported. One of them - Tsvetelin Angelov (37) was detained on the spot and the other - Ruslan (42) - in a 5-star hotel, where the two were staying for two weeks, the BNR reported.

Four automated teller machines (ATM) were damaged in Athens overnight, police said Monday.
Shortly after 2 a.m., vandals tried to burn an ATM in Petralona, while another three machines were smashed later in the night in the district of Dafni.

An unknown number of thieves managed to steal the money contained in a bank ATM in the Athens neighborhood of Thisio by blowing up the ATM.
