Bulgaria: Bad Road Accident, 3 Dead

A total of three victims died after the accident on the highway "Trakia" at 356 km in the direction of Sofia-Burgas, said the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in the seaside town.

The incident happened around 20.30 this evening after the highway exit Balgarovo.

Rabla car scrappage program to begin on April 26

Turkish AK Automotive expanding production in Koper

Koper – AK Automotive, a Turkish-owned company, to expand production and has recently purchased a production facility in Koper it used to lease from Cimos. It plans to invest more than EUR 20 million in the location within a year.

AK Automotive was set up in 2018 by Kücükoglu Holding, which acquired Cimos’s kinematics business the same year.

Layoffs announced at Alpina

Žiri – Alpina, a footwear maker best known for ski and hiking boots, plans to reduce its headcount by more than a tenth at its main production location in Žiri after a dismal year marked by store closures and the long shutdown of ski slopes around Europe.
