Athens metro stations reopen after Grigoropoulos anniversary protest
The Panepistimio and Monastiraki metro stations in Athens reopened after a march commemorating the 16th anniversary of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos' fatal police shooting in 2008.
The stations were closed at 5.30 p.m. by police, with trains bypassing them until the protest ended. Traffic restrictions, including road closures and parking bans, were also enforced.

Korkoneas sent back to jail
Former police officer Epaminondas Korkoneas was arrested and sent back to prison Saturday.
The arrest followed the Supreme Court's rejection of an appeals court decision that had reduced his life sentence for killing a 15-year-old while on duty to 13 years based on lack of prior criminal record.
It was the second time the high court had nullified the appeals court's verdict.
