Dog park becomes meeting spot in resort town
The resort town of Kuşadası in the Aegean province of Aydın, which is flocked by both domestic and international tourists every year in the summer season, is now famous for its thematic parks.
Following art, book and football-themed parks, a "dog park" has been opened in the town where dogs can play and train.

Greater Menderes Delta
The Greater Menderes Delta, one of the most important wetlands in Turkey in the western province of Aydın, is home to 256 bird species, mainly the Dalmatian pelicans. The delta was launched as a national park in 1994 and joined with the Dilek Peninsula, which has rich resources in biodiversity.

Turkey targets 58 mln tourists, over $40 bln revenue
Turkey hopes to attract 58 million foreign tourists and targets more than $40 billion tourism revenues this year, Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has said.
He noted that the exact figures for the full year will be released at the end of the month, but the country probably welcomed 51 million tourists and generated around $34 billion of tourism revenues in 2019.
Ancient price list undergoing restoration
Emperor Diocletian's edict setting price limits for most goods and services 1,718 years ago in the ancient city of Aphrodisias in present-day Karacasulu district in the western province of Aydın will soon be restored and open to visitors.

Avenue of Aphrodisias comes to light
Tetrapylon Street, similar to the modern-day İstiklal Avenue in Istanbul, is being unearthed during excavations in the ancient city of Aphrodisias, one of the best sculpture centers from the Roman period, located in Karacasu district of the western province of Aydın.

Paw prints from eighth century found in ancient castle in Turkey's west
Archaeological excavations at the ancient Kadıkalesi (Kadı Castle), formerly known as "Anaia," in the Kuşadası district of Aydın, have revealed paw prints of cats and dogs on bricks and tiles dating back to the 8th century.
Olive Festival in Kuşadası
The Aegean province of Kuşadası will host the Olive Festival on Nov 3 and 4. The Kuşadası Municipality Chamber Orchestra will perform the 2,000-year-old Seikilos epitaph, one of the oldest music examples in the world, on Nov 4 at the Öküz Mehmed Paşa Caravanserai.
