Istanbul court adjourns hearing of suspects in Doğan Media raid during coup attempt to August

The second hearing of the case into the raid on Hürriyet, the Hürriyet Daily News, CNN Türk and Kanal D at the Doğan Media Center during last year's failed coup was postponed to early August by an Istanbul court on July 18 after the suspects demanded extra time for their pleas.

Court rules for continuation of arrest of Doğan Group's Barbaros Muratoğlu

An Istanbul court has ruled for the continuation of the arrest of Doğan Group Ankara Administrative Representative Barbaros Muratoğlu, who was arrested on Dec. 15, 2016 on charges of "helping an armed terrorist organization."

The Istanbul 13th Heavy Penal Court issued the ruling after prosecutor İlkay Özcan requested for a file regarding other suspects to be investigated.

Flights canceled, roads locked due to snowfall, storms across Turkey

Heavy snowfall and storms across Turkey paralyzed ordinary life, blocking roads and leading to the cancellation of many domestic and international flights. 
Turkish Airlines announced on Dec. 30 that it had cancelled a total of 258 scheduled flights due to bad weather conditions.
