Delo warns against misinterpretation of macroeconomic figures
Ljubljana – The newspaper Delo warns in Saturday’s commentary against misinterpretation of macroeconomic indicators before election, noting that rather than boasting with figures politicians should offer solutions for the future.
Current account gap at $14.9 bln in 2021
Turkey's current account balance posted a $3.84 billion deficit in December 2021, up $401 million year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Central Bank on Feb. 11.
The country's 12-month rolling deficit totaled $14.9 billion.
The gold- and energy-excluded current account posted a $2.27 billion surplus compared to a $700 million surplus in December 2020.

Current account balance posts $1.65 bln surplus in Sept
Turkey's current account balance posted a surplus of $1.65 billion in September, bringing the 12-month rolling deficit to $18.4 billion, the Turkish Central Bank revealed on Nov. 11.
In September 2020, the current account balance posted a $2.3 billion deficit.
Central Bank governor stresses narrowing current account gap
Turkish Central Bank Governor Şahap Kavcıoğlu on Oct. 27 underlined the importance of turning the current account deficit to the positive territory by ramping up credits to exporters.
S&P affirms Turkey's credit rating, outlook stable
S&P on Oct. 22 affirmed Turkey's long-term foreign currency rating at "B+" and long-term local currency rating at "BB-," with a stable outlook.
The stable outlook considers the risks from Turkey's economic imbalances, but these are partly offset by the resilience of Turkey's private sector and the manageable stock of net general government debt, the global rating agency said.

Current account balance sees 11-month low figure in July
Turkey's current account balance posted a deficit of $683 million, down $1.3 billion from the same month last year, the Turkish Central Bank announced on Sept. 13.
With July figures, the current account deficit saw its eleven-month low.
According to the balance of payments figures released by the bank, the country's 12-month rolling deficit totaled almost $27.8 billion.

In June 2021, the current account deficit decreased year-on-year, mainly due to an improvement in the services balance and, to a lesser extent, the primary and secondary income accounts, which was partly offset by the deterioration in the balance of goods.
Current account deficit continues to narrow for 4th straight month

Slovenia’s goods exports in June up 21% year-on-year
Ljubljana, 9 August – Slovenia exported EUR 3.3 billion in goods in June, which is 21% more year-on-year, while imports were up by 30.6% to EUR 3.4 billion, the Statistics Office reported on Monday.
In June, a deficit in trade was recorded for a third month in a row, standing at EUR 100 million, with exports covering imports at a rate of 97.5%.
