Auto sales leap 62 percent in March
The combined sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles increased by a strong 61.7 percent in March compared with the same month of 2022, the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD) has said.

Japan’s Nissan plans ’game changing’ electric car batteries
Nissan is working with the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on a new type of battery for electric vehicles that promise to charge quicker and be lighter yet safe, the Japanese automaker said on April 8.
The all-solid-state battery will replace the lithium-ion battery now in use for a 2028 product launch and a pilot plant launch in 2024, according to Nissan.
Automotive sales decline 33 percent in March
Turkey's automotive market shrank more than 33 percent on an annual basis in March, according to data from the Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD).
Passenger car sales fell by 34.3 percent in the month from a year ago to 50,170 units, while the decline in light commercial vehicle sales was nearly 30 percent.
