Greece's Faliro Bay Metropolitan Park is set to become greener, more accessible, and inclusive, according to recent plans that expand on its original design. Key updates include a new elevated walkway, multi-use zones, and themed playgrounds, along with expanded seating along the waterfront, offering direct views of the Aegean Sea.

The more than 60-year saga of the Faliro Bay redevelopment appears set for more delays.

This is because the Region of Attica, which has been granted the land, is discussing the possibility of the remaining works of the redevelopment to be included in the "New European Bauhaus" initiative as one of its emblematic projects.

The importance and necessity of play, art and experiment in the school space using Bauhaus Play methods and principles was the subject of a debate organized on Thursday evening at the Goethe Institute in Bucharest by the cultural NGO 'Asociatia 37' and the 'Costache Negri' National College in Targu Ocna, Bacau County (eastern Romania).

As part of its ongoing program of events marking the centenary of the Bauhaus movement, the Goethe Institute in Athens presents "From Building to Community: Ioannis Despotopoulos and the Bauhaus," an exhibition organized in collaboration with the Athens Conservatory and the Benaki Museum Modern Greek Architecture Archives.

Artists from over ten countries will participate in the sixth edition of the festival - the 180 ° Contemporary Art Lab. It will open doors tomorrow in the capital.

Organized by the Goethe-Institute and the Istanbul Chamber of Architects Büyükkent Branch for the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus, one of the most influential art and design schools in the 20th century, the exhibition "Bauhaus Architecture" offers documentary photographs by German photographer Hans Engels along with informative commentary and site plans.

In the exhibition, supported by Goethe-Institut Istanbul, starting from their reflection on modernism and the Bauhaus culture, the artists and architects Aslı Serbest and Mona Mahall show a series of works and speculative research on feminist spatial utopias. 

I recently attended a lecture at the Hellenic Institute of Architecture by Alexandros K. Samaras, an architect and longtime chairman of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation's Board of Directors, on Walter Gropius and his mid-1950s design for the US Embassy in Athens.
