Ties with Russia Need Pragmatic Approach, Bulgaria's Last King Tells TASS

Bulgaria's last King and former Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha has urged a more pragmatic approach between Bulgaria and Russia based on what is useful in bilateral ties.

"There is now some tension between our countries, but I am not saying it will last long," he has told TASS news agency [RU].

Lorenci's The Learned Ladies wins best theatre production of the year award

Lorenci, an acclaimed Slovenian theatre director who won several Borštniks before, directed The Learned Ladies (Učene ženske) for the SLG Celje and the Ptuj City Theatre.

The judging panel, chaired by Martin Kušej of Munich's Residenztheater, praised "the creative team for upgrading Moliere's play to boldly show the tragic aspect of the present political and artistic moment".

Bulgarian PM, Bavarian Minister-President to Discuss Refugee Crisis

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and the Minister-President of Bavaria Horst Seehofer are expected to discuss the refugee crisis during the latter's visit to Bulgaria on Friday.

Bavaria is the first German state on the way of refugees coming from the Western Balkans route.
