Ministry of Shipping: The new equipment of the Hellenic Ship Control Center is in operation
On June 10, the new equipment of the Hellenic Mission Control Center (GRMCC) was put into operation for participation in the new system for receiving and distributing alarms, based on medium earth orbit satellites (Medium Earth Orbit Satellites for Search and Rescue / MEOSAR), as announced by the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.

An oceanographic vessel of the Greek Center for Marine Research, using a robotic submersible, retrieved on Tuesday the flight recorder of the Mirage 2000-5 which crashed into the sea in the central Aegean, near Skyros, on April 12, killing the pilot Captain Giorgos Baltadoros.

Divers search wreckage of AirAsia jet's tail for black boxes
Scores of divers plunged into the Java Sea on Jan. 8 to search the wreckage of an AirAsia jet for the black box recorders that could reveal why the plane crashed, Indonesia's search and rescue agency said.
