Winds up to 7 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea - Temperature rises from Monday - EMY's forecast until Thursday

With low temperatures on Wednesday, a new cold spell will peak on Saturday without many extreme phenomena, according to meteorologists.

At least two people died when a migrant dinghy, carrying 35 people, capsized off the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos, authorities said on Wednesday.

The Coast Guard has initiated a search and rescue operation to locate survivors. So far, eight individuals have been successfully rescued from a rocky shore.

Weather is expected to be mostly fair on Sunday, with chance of rain in the eastern regions of Greece and the islands.

Wind velocity will reach 5 on the Beaufort scale.

Temperatures will be low in most parts of the country, ranging from -2C to 14C.
