Belfast rappers Kneecap and Californian hip-hoppers Cypress Hill have been announced as the first two acts for next year's Rockwave, Greece's biggest annual music festival.

The bands will perform on July 13 at Terra Vibe in Malakasa at the festival, which turns 30 this year.

A two-day open-air music celebration in downtown Athens' Santaroza Square (5 Santaroza). Featuring avant-pop acts including Athens electronic duo Lip Forensics and DJ Mr.Z on May 18 and Belfast-based DJ David Holmes' eclectic set of electronic, trip hop, krautrock and house on May 19. Free admission.

After a frosty encounter north of the border, US President Joe Biden is assured of a far warmer welcome by lawmakers in Ireland on Thursday during a visit to the country of his ancestral roots.

The British government on Monday gave Northern Ireland's squabbling parties extra time to reach a deal to end their stalemate and form a power-sharing executive, after a deadline to do so expired, AFP reported.
