European court judge seeks 13 mln euro fine on Greece over shipyard
The European Court of Justice's advocate general, Melchior Wathelet, has recommended that Greece be fined 13 million euros over Skaramangas Shipyards (ENAE).
Wathelet said Greece had failed to comply with a previous ruling by the court ordering it to reclaim subsidies to the previously state-owned shipyard west of Athens worth 670 million euros, with late fees.
"Belgium didn't have govt for 540 days, and they were fine"
Diklic spoke ahead of his visit to Serbia of Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, who is due to arrive in Belgrade on Monday.
"Belgium is a small but influential country, it is one of the founders of the European Union, the chairman of the Benelux... they have the power to influence the EU," Diklic said.
