Vucic to travel to Vienna on Thursday

VIENNA - At the invitation of his Austrian counterpart Alexander Van der Bellen, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will on Thursday travel to Vienna on a working visit.

Upon arrival, he will meet with representatives of the Austrian chamber of commerce and Austrian businesspeople who are already working in Serbia or are interested in investing in the country.

Former OSCE media rep receives top Austrian decoration

Austrian President Alexander Van Der Bellen has awarded the honorary Order of Merit of the Austrian Republic to Dunja Mijatovic.

As announced, Mijatovic, a former OSCE representative on Freedom of the Media, was recognized for promotion and protection of human rights during her term as the OSCE representative.

Greek PM welcomes result of Austrian presidential election

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has welcomed the results of the presidential election in Austria calling it "a breath of fresh air."

In Austria, left-leaning Alexander Van der Bellen defeated right-wing rival Norbert Hofer, a victory welcomed by moderate politicians across Europe seeking to halt the wave of right-wing populism sweeping Western democracies.
