Turkey on July 30 expressed grief over the death of 17 people, including five military personnel, in a plane crash in Pakistan, some 30 kilometers from the capital Islamabad.

A Pakistani military plane on a training flight crashed into homes near the garrison city of Rawalpindi before dawn on July 30, killing at least 18 people, most of them on the ground.

A government official has said that there are unlikely to be any survivors from a Pakistani aircraft carrying up to 47 passengers that crashed near Abbottabad.
