Turkey's Changemakers: Come on friends, let's do science
Ayça Arslan Ergül has been named the fourth Changemaker of the 7th season of the Sabanci Foundation Turkey's Changemakers Program.
A meritorious scientist tries to motivate younger generations to progress on the path of Aziz Sancar and improve science in our country. Ergül goes to high schools and gives seminars to increase young people's internal motivation and interest in science.
Six Turkish universities rank in top 20 in emerging Europe and Central Asia countries
Six Turkish universities have placed in the top 20 of a university ranking list taking into consideration 20 nations from emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA).
A total of 12 universities made the top 100 in the list compiled by the QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) University Rankings for the education year of 2015/2016.

3 universities from Turkey ranked in 'best young universities' list
Three Turkish universities - Koç, Sabanc? and Bilkent - have been ranked among the world?s best 100 universities of less than 50 years of age by the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine.
The universities were listed in the THE?s fourth annual ?100 Under 50? list for 2015 on April 30.

Turkish universities well-placed in Emerging Economies Rankings
Eight Turkish universities were listed this year among the 100 top universities in the "BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings," with the Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) in Ankara taking third place in the list.
ODTÜ was also named the world's 85th best university in the 2015 rankings.
Turkey’s first culture minister, famed man of letters, passes away at 83
Turkeyâs first ever culture and tourism minister, Talat Sait Halman, passed away on Dec. 4.
Halman was born in Istanbul in 1931. He studied at Istanbulâs Robert Collage and got his masterâs degree in political science from Columbia University.
