Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes reflect on “The Return” – A modern reimagining of Homer’s Odyssey

“A Beautiful Penelope and a Captivating Odysseus” – this was the scene at the press conference following the premiere of The Return, directed by Uberto Pasolini. Inspired by Homer’s myth, the film stars Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche as the mythic figures Odysseus and Penelope reimagined through a modern lens.

We saw Juliette Binoche for the first time in Krzysztof Kieslowski’s “Three Colours: Blue” movie and we fell in love with her talent. The French actress has visited Greece many a time and is a huge fan of ancient drama. In a few weeks, the actress will be acting out Antigone, in London the famous Sophocles ancient tragedy, this time directed by Ivo Van Hove.

 

Gabriel Byrne, Juliette Binoche to Shoot New Movie in Bulgaria

The Hollywood stars Juliette Binoche and Gabriel Byrne will arrive in Bulgaria for a new movie shoot in May-June.

Byrne who is known for films such as The Usual Suspects, Stigmata, and Oscar Award Winner Juliette Binoche (Chocolat, The English Patient) will star in a new movie called Nobody Wants the Night (Nadie quiere la noche) directed by Isabel Coixet.
