Ethiopian-born Turkish athlete Elvan Abeylegesse has been stripped of the two silver medals she claimed at the Beijing 2008 Olympics over 5,000m and 10,000m, along with her 10,000m silver medal from the 2007 World Championships, for doping violations.

Turkish Olympic gold medalist Asl? Çak?r Alptekin was offered to bribe two sons of International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) former president Lamine Diack to whitewash her positive doping test in late 2012, according to a second report by the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) independent commission report revealed Jan.

Olympic champion Asl? Çak?r Alptekin, who was stripped of her 1,500-meter title and handed an eight-year ban for blood doping on Aug. 17, has denied any wrongdoing.

?No banned substance has been found in the samples I gave during competitions, including the 2012 London Olympics, and the off season,? Alptekin said Aug. 21 in a written statement.

BELGRADE - Members of the Serbian parliament concluded a principled debate on the draft law on the prevention of doping in sport, which will ensure that Serbian legislation is fully harmonized with international regulations in this respect and the new World Anti-Doping Code, which will come into force next year.

A total of 16 amendments will be discussed on October 15.
