Birth certificate

The Ministry of the Interior, along with the Metropolitan Directorate, will support Bulgarian citizens without valid ID documents to ensure they can vote in the upcoming National Assembly elections on October 27, 2024. The "Bulgarian Identity Documents" Directorate has implemented measures to assist voters.

Children and students in Sofia will soon benefit from new, free public transport cards. All children up to 14 years old will have the opportunity to travel for free within the city with these newly designed cards. The new cards feature a distinctive design aimed specifically for young travelers.

As part of the government's stated commitment to crack down on needless and time-consuming bureaucracy, the Digital Governance Ministry plans to gradually abolish the endless number of certificates required in the transactions between citizens and both the private and public sectors with the introduction of the relevant legislation in the coming months. 

Mladjan Radivojevic from Aleksinac, who four years ago filed a criminal complaint with the Association for the Truth and Justice of Missing Babies that he was abducted, appeared in Krusevac today with his biological sister and DNA analysis that confirms that.
Mladjan is the first person proven to have been stolen as a baby.

A Sarajevo municipality has temporarily stopped issuing birth certificates due to a computer virus that locks documents in its database for the second time in some two weeks.  

The fees for 34 municipal services in Sofia will be able to be paid online from next year. The service is expected to be active from the beginning of March, explained Venera Milova from Sofia Municipality.

Two Serbian ministries have signed an agreement to establish electronic records about Serbian citizens.

The agreement on technical and business cooperation was signed by Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic and Minister of State Administration Branko Ruzic.

The roots of the Greek family are deep and transcend time. Second and third generation Greeks born abroad keep the customs and tradition of Greece and even speak the Greek language, but this doesn't mean that Greek citizenship is a matter of course.

Albania has agreed to issue emigrants born abroad with new birth certificates, identity cards and passports where the birthplace is  written in the local language of the country of birth rather than in Albanian.
