A 49-year-old livestock farmer from central Greece who had gone missing since Wednesday amid a severe storm was found dead shortly before noon on Thursday by rescuers, the Fire Department said.

The man was found in a stream that had become inaccessible by rocks and branches carried by the torrential rain.

Six are the victims of the unprecedented floods in Slovenia. Among them are two Dutchmen who were struck by lightning. The damage is expected to exceed half a billion euros.

Today will be mostly sunny. A moderate wind will continue to blow from the west-northwest and the temperatures will drop a little more, the maximum will be mostly between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius, in Sofia around 27°C. In the evening and on the night of Tuesday in the western half of the country, it will rain, in the mountains and thunder.

With the approach of a cold atmospheric front, rain showers will begin from the west-northwest during the night, accompanied by thunderstorms in some places.

Severe storms with winds exceeding 100 km/h hit Slovenia late on 18 July, ripping roofs off buildings, and knocking down trees and power lines. Tens of thousands of households were left without power, more than 250 people camping outdoors were evacuated and rescuers helped hikers stranded in the mountains.

Firefighters in Thessaloniki received 300 calls for assistance following flooding in the northern city during the early hours of Saturday morning.

A stream in the Polichni district burst its banks, flooding many homes. Some road tunnels were also flooded and one car had to be towed to safety.

"In the coming days, we expect more sun and temperatures suitable for spring. On Thursday, we will have even 25 degrees in some parts of Serbia, but unfortunately on Easter day it will be cloudy and rainy again and the temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees," Djuri said.

Judging by the announcements of the RHMZ, snow will arrive at the beginning of April, and the formation of a snow cover is expected, not only in the mountainous regions.
The first warning refers to the expected higher amount of precipitation in the second part of the day in the southern and eastern regions, from 20 to 40 mm in 12 hours, sometimes even more.

The minimum temperatures will be between 3°C and 8°C, in Sofia - about 2°C, and the maximum - between 11°C and 16°C.

Cloudy weather will prevail today, in many places with rain, in the Pre-Balkans and on the high western plains - with rain and snow. Rainfall will be significant in places, mainly in the eastern half of the country. The wind will be moderate, with a direction from the north-northeast, and colder air will invade with it.
