Obama to get paid $1.2 million for Wall Street speeches

Former US President Barack Obama will reportedly receive $1.2 million for a series of speeches he will make next week to large Wall Street firms. Mr. Obama had drawn harsh criticism from within his Democratic party when it became known that he agreed to deliver speeches at a conference in September organised by services company Cantor Fiztgerald.

Breaking news: Bloomberg says more measures could be imposed in Greece, citing Greek official

According to the Bloomberg news agency, a Greek official today left open the possibility of the country needing more fiscal measures in 2018, speaking to reporters. The same official stressed that the government is opposed to the IMF’s request to conduct a new AQR assets for banks.
