1st export of Turkish-made armored vehicle Vuran made to Kosovo
The first export of the Turkish armored vehicle Vuran, manufactured in collaboration with leading Turkish defense firms, was made to Kosovo.
According to information obtained by Anadolu Agency, Kosovo will be the first overseas user of the Vuran 4x4 multi-purpose armored vehicle.
At the first stage, two units of the vehicle will be produced and delivered to Kosovo.
NATO touts Turkish armored vehicle on social media
NATO on May 20 posted a video on social media touting the Turkish armored vehicle Vuran.
"Turkey is leading NATO's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force this year," Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, the headquarters of NATO's Allied Command Operations, said on Twitter.

Turkish car receives int'l design award
In a first, a Turkish car has been crowned one of the most prestigious design awards in the world, Turkey's Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG) said in a statement on April 18.
"TOGG became the first Turkish brand to receive such an award and achieved a significant success in mobility with its C-SUV model at the iF Design Awards 2021," it said.

Probe launched over MP’s remarks on military

Turkey’s first indigenous battle tank production delayed
Turkey's production program for its first new-generation main battle tank, the Altay, is facing delays, says the chair of Turkey's Defense Industries Directorate İsmail Demir.
The 18-month production period is delayed because they have not yet obtained a power pack/engine from the foreign company, he said.

Turkey’s defense contractor ASELSAN inks $92.5 mln deal
Turkey’s pioneering defense company Aselsan has announced a 76.8 million euro ($92.5 million) deal with BMC Otomotiv, one of the country’s major commercial and defense vehicle producers, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Jan. 4.
