Turkey’s first Nobel laureate ties knot
Orhan Pamuk, a prominent novelist and Turkey's first Nobel laureate, has tied the knot with Aslı Akyavaş, with whom he has been together for nearly 10 years.
The couple's wedding ceremony was held at Beyoğlu Municipality's Office in presence of their close family members due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

47 academics and civil servants detained over suspected Gülen links
At least 115 detention warrants were issued on July 10 for academics and bureaucrats in two Istanbul universities, the Prime Ministry and related institutions, with 47 people detained over suspected links to the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen.
