New Bob Marley film gets box office love in theaters
Paramount's new musical biopic "Bob Marley: One Love" enjoyed the adoration of North American theatergoers last weekend, topping the box office with estimated earnings of $27.7 million, industry watcher Exhibitor Relations reported on Feb. 18.

Get your reggae groove on at the Quilombo Cultural Center's annual spring street party on Saturday, May 5, which this year is dedicated to the genre which emerged in Jamaica in the late 1960s and was popularized by the likes of Bob Marley and the Wailers, Prince Buster, Desmond Dekker and Ken Boothe. The party starts at 10 p.m. and is free of charge.

Obama visits Jamaica, takes in Bob Marley museum
Barack Obama became the first sitting U.S. president to set foot in Jamaica since 1982 on April 8 -- and made some time for the late reggae legend Bob Marley.
On arrival, Obama descended from Air Force One to greet a long line of people including Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller, whom he embraced.
