Bolkar Mountains

Home to many civilizations such as the Hittites, Romans, Seljuks, Karamanoğlu Principality and Ottomans, the Central Anatolian province of Niğde awaits its visitors with its churches, ruins, mosques, mountains, lakes and natural beauties.

Known as the "silent frog," the Taurus frog is a frog species living only in the Karagöl, Çiniligöl and Eğrigöl lakes in the Bolkar mountains in Turkey's Central Anatolian region. 

A 2,800-year-old Hittite inscription, which is on a rock in the Bolkar Mountain in the Central Anatolian province of Niğde and claimed to be the world's oldest mining license, will be taken under protection.
