Vidin - Calafat Danube Bridge Will be Temporarily Closed
Vidin - Calafat Danube Bridge (between Bulgaria and Romania) will be temporarily closed to all vehicle traffic, in both directions, from 13:00 to 14:00 on 18th of October, the press center of the Ministry of Interior announced, quoted by BNT.
The closure is required due to routine technical maintainance of the bridge, Border Police explains.
Border Officers will Receive the Right to Conduct Investigations
Border officers will receive the right to conduct investigations. This was voted by the MPs with the amendments to the law on the Ministry of Interior proposed by the Council of Ministers. The border guards will be able to conduct operative-search actions and conduct investigations, Deputy Interior Minister Krassimir Tsipov explained, Darik informed.

At the Bulgarian-Serbian border at Kalotina border checkpoint and on the Bulgarian-Greek border at Kulata border checkpoint, the traffic is intensive by trucks leaving the country.
7km Queue of Trucks at Dunav Most-Ruse
On the Bulgarian-Romanian border, there is a 7km queue of cargo vehicles waiting to leave the country at Dunav Most-Ruse checkpoint, according to data of Chief Directorate Border Police by 06:00, quoted by Focus News Agency.
The queue at Dunav Most-Vidin is 2km long.

4km Queue Of Carco Vehicles at Kapitan Andreevo Border Checkpoint
On the Bulgarian-Turkish border, there is a 4km queue of cargo vehicles at Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint and a 2.5km queue at Lesovo, Chief Directorate Border Police said, citing data by 06:00.
At Dunav Most-Ruse and Dunav Most-Vidin, 1.5km queues of cargo vehicles are waiting to leave the country.

52 Traffickers Arrested Since Beginning of the Year
Since the beginning of the year, Bulgarian security services have detained 52 traffickers of illegal migrants, reported BNR.
This was announced bt the head of Border Police Chief Commissioner Svetlan Kichikov before bTV. He specified that there were ''2054 illegal attempts to cross the border'' in the same period.
