Travel writers pick ‘best 10 bays of blue voyage’

Turkish travel writers have listed the most 10 beautiful coves one can visit during a blue voyage in the Aegean and the Mediterranean Seas, with the Cove of Bedri Rahmi topping the list.

The cove in the southwestern province of Muğla's Göcek neighborhood is named after famous Turkish poet, writer, and painter Bedri Rahmi Eyüpoğlu, who died in 1975 at the age of 64.

Turkey's tourism season is expected to postpone until after-May period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the country's culture and tourism minister told daily Hürriyet.

3 killed, 2 Injured After Yacht Carrying 11 Capsizes off Turkey's Marmaris

Three people died after boat carrying 11 people, including the captain capsized off Turkey's southern Muğla coast, reports said Wednesday, quoted by Daily Sabah.

Eight people who were on the capsized boat, named Anemone, have reportedly been rescued, two of whom were injured.

The incident took place near the seaside town of Bozburun in Marmaris.

A motor yacht sank off the coast of Marmaris in southern Turkey on Aug. 2, killing one person and leaving two others missing, the local governor has stated.

The 20-meter motor yacht named "Anemone" sank 200 meters off the Bozburun port with 11 on board due to unknown reasons.

Goddess sculpture found in Aegean Sea

A ceramic sculpture, which is said to be the biggest one in the history of Turkish underwater history, has been discovered off the coast of the Bozburun neighborhood in the western province of Muğla's Marmaris district.
 
The 2,700-year-old sculpture found during examinations in a ship wreckage, which was unearthed last year in November, belonged to a Cypriot goddess.
