Portion of touristic island to be sold by tender

A portion of Bozcaada, one of the country's most significant natural beauties and tourist destinations, is being put up for sale due to disagreements over family inheritance.

A court in the northwestern province of Çanakkale announced on July 7 that 33 immovable properties on a total area of 1 million square meters in Bozcaada will be sold by tender.

A Russian naval cruiser had to cast anchor due to strong currents and bad weather in Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait on Jan. 6, according to a Turkish security source.

The Slava-class Marshal Ustinov anchored off the neighborhood of Moda, on Istanbul's Asian side, since conditions did not allow for it to dock, said the source.

Exhibit of ink drawing works in Istanbul

Turkish ink drawing artist Pınar Tınç opens April 27 her new exhibition 'Innocence' at Arnavutköy Art Gallery in Istanbul. The works in the exhibition have been inspired by Bozcaada, an island in the Aegean Sea, and La Réunion, a small volcano island along the coast of the Indian Ocean. The exhibition will run through the end of May.
