Brdo pri Kranju – What used to be Brdo Hotel at the Brdo pri Kranju estate reopened on Monday after renovation works under a new name – Elegans Brdo Hotel. The EUR 11.5 investment was finished just in time for the start of the Slovenian EU presidency.
Brdo debate argues for inclusive Conference on Future of Europe

Brdo pri Kranju – Having gathered for a summit at Brdo pri Kranju on Monday, the leaders of the Brdo-Brijuni Process adopted a declaration to reaffirm their commitment to EU enlargement, but failed to reach a consensus to call against changes to borders in the region due to Serbia’s opposition.

Vučić at the Brdo-Brioni Summit; The meeting started behind closed doors PHOTO
President Vui was welcomed by the host, Slovenian President Borut Pahor and Croatian President Zoran Milanovi.
Upon his arrival, the President of Serbia greeted Pahor more cordially than Milanovi, with whom, according to the Tanjug reporter, he greeted more officially.

Slovenia to host conference on population ageing during EU presidency
Ljubljana – The Labour Ministry announced on Thursday, the European Day of Solidarity between Generations, that Slovenia would host a conference focussing on population ageing during its presidency of the Council of the EU. The conference will particularly stress the importance of intergenerational solidarity and cooperation, the ministry said.
Restrictions broadly unchanged as state of epidemic extended by a month
Brdo pri Kranju – The government has extended the majority of coronavirus restrictions by another week as it prolonged the state of the epidemic by another thirty days as part of its weekly review of measures on Wednesday.
“The current epidemic situation … requires a new, temporally limited declaration of the epidemic across the entire territory of Slovenia,” the government said.
