Environment Minister: No Contamination Found in Water in Bregovo

Bregovo (North-West Bulgaria, near the border with Serbia) remains in a state of emergency because of the risk of flooding. The level of Timok River has dropped by several centimetres, but the groundwater level has risen. Powerful hydropump is used for draining the water, reported BNT. 

4km Queue of Cargo Vehicles at Dunav Most 2 Checkpoint

A 4km queue of cargo vehicles has formed at the Dunav Most 2 border checkpoint, at exit from the country, Radio Focus - Vidin has reported.

Traffic of cargo vehicles through the checkpoint is intensive. There are no vehicles waiting to enter the country.
Traffic is normal at both checkpoints with Serbia in the Vidin region - Vrashka Chuka and Bregovo.

1 km Queue of Trucks at Bulgaria's Danube Bridge 2 Border Checkpoint

There is a 1 kilometer long queue of trucks at the Danuv Bridge 2 border checkpoint at the entrance of the country.
This was announced by the border police officer, according to Radio FOCUS - Vidin.

There is no queue of waiting trucks at the exit. At the other two border checkpoints in Vidin Region - Vrashka Chuka and Bregovo - traffic is normal.

Police Detain 44 Irregular Migrants Near Bulgaria's Haskovo

As many as 44 irregular migrants have been arrested near the village of Bregovo, Southern Bulgaria, police in the main regional city, Haskovo, have said.

The men are reportedly from Afghanistan. During their daily patrol on Saturday, police officers spotted two people whom they tracked down to find the 44 men, aged 18-25, in a nearby forest.
