Bulgaria PM Heading for China with 7 Mins for China-CEE Summit
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has departed for a visit to China with seven ministers for a meeting with the country's leadership and officials from Central and Eastern European states.
The city of Suzhou in Eastern China is due to host the Fourth leaders' meeting of China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries on November 24-25.
BRICS call on G-20 to work harder on economic policy cooperation
The BRICS group of emerging nations called on the Group of 20 (G-20) top developed and developing nations on Nov. 15 to strengthen their macroeconomic policy cooperation to prevent bad effects from a weak global economy and reduce risks to growth.
Diverging paths: Turkey and Indonesia
Turkey is no Indonesia, Standard & Poor?s declared this week.
But the two countries have many things in common. Both are composed of Muslim majorities, both are listed under the MINT (Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey) grouping, trailing the BRICS. Both countries have received a BB+ rating from S&P recently.

New $100 bln BRICS bank opens in China to challenge US-led lenders
A new $100 billion international bank dedicated to the emerging BRICS countries opened in China's commercial hub Shanghai on July 21, officials said, as an alternative to other multilateral lenders.
The "New Development Bank," backed by the so-called emerging BRICS nations Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, has been viewed as a challenge to Washington-based institutions.

Russia hosted two important gatherings, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS (the five emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summits on July 8-10, 2015, in the Russian city of Ufa, as the simultaneous holder of the rotating chairmanships of both institutions.

BRICS Leaders Issue Anti-Terrorism Declaration

Rivals Pakistan, India to start process of joining China security bloc
Nuclear-armed rivals Pakistan and India will start the process of joining a security bloc led by China and Russia at a summit in Russia later this week, a senior Chinese diplomat said on July 6, the first time the grouping has expanded since it was set up in 2001.
China parliament ratifies BRICS Bank agreement
China's parliament ratified an agreement with the world's largest emerging nations on July 1 to create a new development bank, state news agency Xinhua reported.
The New Development Bank, also known as the BRICS Bank, is one of two international development banks that China is promoting as an alternative to western institutions such as the World Bank.
