Bulgarians and EU Citizens Will Enter UK only with Passports from October 1st

As of October 1, 2021, Bulgarian citizens can enter the UK only with an international passport, which must be valid for the entire period of the planned stay.

Exception will be made only for those who have received the so called "settled status" in UK.

Citizens who do not present such a document will not be allowed in the country.

Foreign Job Seekers Will Have to Apply for Visa to Work in UK

 

As of today, all foreigners, including those from the EU Member States who want to work in the UK from 1 January, will have to apply online for a visa. The free movement of people to and from the EU ends after Brexit on 31 December.

More working-age Greeks living in other EU countries, data show

The share of Greek nationals aged 20 to 64 living in other countries of the European Union rose to 6 percent in 2017 from 4.7 percent in 2007, data from Eurostat have shown.

In contrast, the share of Cypriot nationals residing abroad decreased from 7.1 percent in 2007 to 3.9 percent in 2017.

Britons living in Cyprus have nothing to fear post-Brexit, UK says

Britain says it has secured the right for UK nationals living in Cyprus to keep the same status that they currently enjoy as EU citizens.

"We have secured the right for UK nationals to continue living their life in Cyprus as they do now," new UK High Commissioner in Cyprus Stephen Lillie said in an open letter to UK nationals living on the island.

Big Rise in Britons Seeking Other EU Passports

Tens of thousands more UK citizens applied for citizenship in other EU countries in the 12 months after the Brexit vote than in the previous year, according to data obtained by the BBC.

Ireland received by far the most applications for dual nationality.

But for all the countries that had data covering July 2016 to June 2017, applications have more than doubled.
