The Buena Vista All Stars, led by Ibrahim Ferrer Jr, son of Buena Vista Social Club's golden-voiced singer, will perform songs whose popularity spread across the world with Wim Wenders' 1999 documentary about the music of Cuba at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center on June 29.

The musicians and singers of the Buena Vista Band and El Grupo de Bailar dancers will be on stage at the Galatsi Olympic Hall in northern Athens on Saturday, January 18, to perform some of Cuba's most renowned songs as part of the Christmas Theater series of events.

Buena Vista Social Club says farewell to the stage in April.

The 4th Cuba Festival visits the Petra Theater in Petroupolis, Athens, to entrance viewers and listeners to Cuban traditional music, with Luis Frank Arias and Soneros De Verdad.

They were forgotten masters of a long-ago sound, their faces deeply lined and their hands spotted with age.
     
Then, suddenly, at an age when many performers would be retired, the members of this old-school band found themselves playing in some of the most hallowed venues around the world, sharing stages with the likes of Sting and Shakira.
