EC fines Bulgarian Energy Holding 77 million Euro For Breach of EU Antitrust Rules

The European Commission has fined Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), its gas supply subsidiary Bulgargaz and its gas infrastructure subsidiary Bulgartransgaz (the BEH group) more than 77 million euro for blocking competitors' access to key gas infrastructure in Bulgaria, in breach of EU antitrust rules, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Bulgargaz Makes a Final Proposal For the Price of Natural Gas

Bulgargaz will submit its final proposal for gas price for the first quarter of 2019 to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, reported the Bulgarian National Televisio.

The forecast from the public provider, which was released on November 10, shows that the rise in gas prices for the first quarter of next year is expected to be below 5%.

Price of the Heating in Bulgaria Will Not Change as of January 1

The price of the heating in Bulgaria will not change as of January 1, because a 4 percent increase in the price of natural gas is expected for the first quarter of 2019. This is what the Chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) Ivan Ivanov told journalists in the building of the regulator.
