Due to the declared military situation in Ukraine, the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and for the safety of the passengers, the national carrier "Bulgaria Air" stopped its flights between Sofia and Odessa until 16 December 2018 inclusive, according to the carrier's website.

Nearly 200 Bulgarians were blocked at Rome's Ciampino Airport after a flight to Sofia to a low-budget airline was canceled.

"With our money, we were able to buy tickets for tomorrow. We will travel by Bulgaria Air, Ognian Manolev, one of the other passengers in the Italian capital, said "Hello, Bulgaria".

This summer, airport traffic in Varna and Bourgas is expected to increase by 10% and reach over five million passengers. 19 new airlines enter the summer schedule of the two airports, which will serve a total of 20 destinations.

The national carrier "Bulgaria Air" will meet the Christmas and New Year holidays with promotional prices of their tickets to and from all direct destinations.

The campaign was launched on December 15 and will continue until December 29 inclusive.

Within the 15-day Christmas promotion, one-way air tickets from Sofia to Rome, Milan and Athens will be at the lowest prices.

All passengers traveling with Bulgaria Air, have waited  for more than 15 hours at Sofia Airport to fly to Frankfurt. Flight FB437A was supposed to fly away yesterday at 18:00, but it actually that happened after 11:30 today, reported bTV. 

Today Sofia Airport is blocked by passengers due to delayed flights of Bulgaria Air. This morning the flights to Italy from 7am are canceled and currently it is said they will fly as early as 11am.

Eight hours - a new record for flight from Sofia to Burgas for dozens of Bulgarian air passengers on Saturday, reported bTV .

People, including small children, have spent hours in the metropolitan airport and they didn't know when they would fly. After several times their flight had been postponed, they finally had to wait for the plane from Milan, which was also arriving late.

Bulgaria Air's debts to Sofia Airport continue to grow and, at present, amount to over BGN 59 M, reported Kapital Daily.

Tens of passengers of carrier Bulgaria Air have been stranded at the airport in Frankfurt.

The aircraft did not take off for Sofia due to damage to the body of the plane, announced the director of the company Yanko Georgiev.

Bulgaria's national flag carrier Bulgaria Air has announced it will not perform flights between Sofia and Brussels on Tuesday, April 05

Sofia Airport has said the two flights No FB 407 (to Brussels), with takeoff time 18:00, and FB 408 (from Brussels) scheduled to land 23:55, have been terminated.
