Bulgarian Authorities Detain 37 Illegal Migrants Near Tsarevo

Officers of the border police department in the Bulgarian town of Tsarevo detained on Thursday 37 foreigners who had illegally entered into the country.

The officers uncovered the migrants when they stopped a Ford Transit van bearing British licence plates for inspection at the bridge over Karaagach river.

Bulgarian PM Cancels Three Public Tenders Worth BGN 170 M

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov ordered on Thursday the cancellation of another set of public procurement tenders worth BGN 170 M.

Two of the public procurement procedures were launched by the municipality of Varna and the other one by Burgas.

Borisov has already held talks with the mayors of Varna and Burgas, Ivan Portnih and Dimitar Nikolov, Darik radio informs.

Thomas Cook 'Adds 50 000 Airline Seats' to Bulgaria

Travel company Thomas Cook will add more than 50 000 airline seats to the airports of Varna and Burgas in 2016, Bulgaria's biggest Black Sea cities, media outlets report.

According to Greek English-language website Tornos News, there will be two flights a week between Burgas and Frankfurt and one connecting Burgas with Rostock, Leipzig and Berlin respectively.

ThyssenKrupp Considers Expanding Its Business in Bulgaria

The German steel giant ThyssenKrupp is considering to expand its business in Bulgaria and is interested in the conditions offered by the National Company Industrial Zones.

This was discussed at a meeting between Bulgarian Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski and representatives of the executive board of the company in Germany on Friday.

Bulgaria Warns of Potentially Dangerous Rainfall in Burgas Region  

Bulgaria's weather forecast service NIMH has issued Code Yellow alert for Burgas Region for Thursday, warning of potentially dangerous rainfall in the night to Friday.

Precipitation levels are expected to reach 15 to 25 liters per square meter in the southernmost areas of Burgas Region by midnight Thursday.

Bomb Explodes Near Pharmacy in Bulgaria's Burgas

A bomb exploded near a pharmacy located in a block of flats in the Bulgarian city of Burgas overnight.

No people were injured, but the explosion caused material damages to the pharmacy and the flat above it.

The store is owned by businessman Veselin Mareshki, who runs a chain of pharmacies bearing his surname across the country.
