Public Transport in Sofia will Run on a Holiday Schedule

Important information for residents and guests of the capital. Today the transport in Sofia will run on holiday schedules. Trams no. 5, 6, 7, 20 and 22 tonight, trolley buses No. 1, 2, 5 and 9 and buses no. 85, 102, 213, 285 and 310 will be traversing tonight. The subway will work until 1.30 am. Night transport is scheduled.

Building a better bus system

About eight months ago, I wrote here about how well the Athens metro system generally functioned but that investment in the city's bus system couldn't come soon enough. Specifically, new buses are needed as the current fleet seems to date largely back to the early years of the new millennium - when the city hosted the 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

A Man Died in a Trolleybus Accident in Sofia

According to the Ministry of the Interior, the man traveled in the trolley. At the stop of the Hygiene Center, the man went off the vehicle and fell. According to the police, the trolley driver did not assess the situation and departed earlier, NOVA reported.
 

Public transport's Creci: Perhaps an increase in public transport travel ticket be considered when at European standards

Transport services to slow down over holiday period

Public transport services in Athens will be slowing down over the New Year's holiday, operator OASA announced.

On January 1-3 and 6, buses and trolley buses will run at less frequent intervals, according to the Sunday schedule, while on December 31, they will start pulling off Athens's streets by around 9 p.m.
