Demarche lodged to UNESCO over Chora monastery
Giorgos Koumoutsakos, the permanent representative of Greece to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, has lodged a demarche to UNESCO in Paris, after the decision by Turkish authorities to convert the Monastery of Chora in Istanbul into a mosque.

Largest floor mosaic in Central Anatolia found in Kayseri
A 300-square-meter floor mosaic belonging to the Late Roman-Early Byzantine period has been discovered during excavation work in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri.
Zeugma to double number of visitors
The Zeugma Mosaic Museum, which holds the title of being the world's largest mosaic museum, is aiming to increase the number of visitors with its newly opened section.
The museum, which opened nearly six years ago on an area of 30,000 square meters in the southeastern province of Gaziantep, draws many local and foreign tourists visiting the city.

Kilis mosaics to serve tourism
A basilica, which was unearthed 18 years ago during illegal excavations in the southeastern province of Kilis and is home to 1,600 year-old mosaics, is set to open to tourism.
