About 30-35 percent of food catering enterprises are estimated to have remained shut even after the restrictions were lifted, while most of that share (about 25% of the sector) may not reopen at all.

Bulgaria Now Allows The Outdoor Weddings
Outdoor weddings are now allowed. This became clear after a meeting between Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the restaurant industry.
However, they will be able to be held only in compliance with all measures specified in the order of the Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev.
It became clear earlier that the VAT on the catering and entertainment sector will become 9%.

Over 280 kg of Unfit Food has been Seized During Black Sea Check-ups
Sofia. Over 280 kg of unfit food was seized following inspections along the Black Sea coast in July, said the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA). In July, BFSA continued to exercise strict control over Black Sea resorts.
Business mentality stuck in the past
New businesses opening up in Greece continue to be focused on catering and entertainment rather than the sectors of manufacturing or technology. According to a report by Endeavor Greece published in Kathimerini on February 2, after eight years of recession, the Greeks that can still invest are putting their money into new cafes, bars and souvlaki joints, while factories are closing.

Inspectors Shut Down the Catering Company of Presidency, Parliament
The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency shut down the catering company, that provides food to the Presidency and Parliament, said the agency head Plamen Mollov.
The reason is serious violations of safety procedures for food preparation, catering and lack of systems for control.
The inspection was carried out after a signal from a “secret agent”.
