A lack of trust in institutions and unfair taxation systems in Southeast Europe have contributed to the widespread problem of the "shadow" economy and undeclared work, a recent survey by the Sofia-Based Center for the Study of Democracy, CSD, for the Southeast Europe Leadership for Development and Integrity, SELDI, has concluded.

Bulgaria Has Lowest Energy Security Rate in EU - NGO
Bulgaria is the poorest EU member state and the one plagued by the lowest rate of energy security, according to a report of local NGO Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD).
The CSD used data of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute for 21st Century Energy for the 75 largest energy-consuming countries.
