Heartbreaking footage has been captured by the Up Stories team using a drone over Lake Yliki. Specifically, the team recorded images on Monday (28/10) of the lake and its island, which was once 120 meters from the shore and is now accessible by car.

Attica regional authorities launch operation to clean Kifisos river
Attica regional authorities announced on Wednesday the start of a cleaning operation for the covered sections of the Kifisos River, marking the first such effort in many decades.
The aim is to remove tons of debris and waste to allow stormwater to flow unobstructed.

Kifissos riverbed damage stokes concern
Serious damage to the underground bed of the Kifissos River in Athens has been identified by a team of speleologists.
The team was conducting an underground expedition and had reached a section beneath the Kifissou KTEL bus terminal, when they came across a hill of trash and debris as well as a lake that may have formed as a result of the bottom being destroyed.

Ten Brinke plans shopping centre at Neo Faliro
Dutch-owned company Ten Brinke plans to build a new shopping center at Neo Faliro, on the corner of Pireos and Kifissou streets.
Plans call for a 15,000-square meter, three-floor building, with one floor underground with 400 parking spaces.

Aktor completes Leroy Merlin store in 6 months
French group Leroy Merlin's new store was completed by the Aktor construction company at 60 Kifissou Avenue in Kolonos, west of the city center of Athens, within a period of just six months.
The €15 million project concerns a building of 12,000 square meters on the plot where the construction of the Academy Gardens mall was previously planned.

Car company offers five vehicles to victims of July's Attica wildfire
Car importer Teoren Motors announced it will draw five new Renault Clio cars for the eastern Attica residents who had their vehicle burnt during the devastating wildfire at Mati and Neos Voutzas on July 23.
Decree for mall on Kifissou Avenue is finally signed
After a six-month delay, Environment Minister Giorgos Stathakis on Monday signed the presidential decree for the construction of a mall by Artume, a subsidiary of US firm BlackRock, on Kifissou Avenue in Athens.
The building permit for the 300-million-euro investment is expected in the coming months.
