Iraq is still in talks with Turkey and Kurdish regional authorities to resume Kirkuk oil exports through the Ceyhan port, Iraqi Oil Minister Jabar al-Luaibi told state-run newspaper al-Sabah on July 2.

A Turkish energy delegation has met with Iraqi top oil officials in Baghdad to discuss issues including the resumption of Kirkuk oil exports via the Turkish port of Ceyhan, Iraq’s oil ministry said in a statement on Nov. 16.
US drone crashes in southern Turkey
A United States drone crashed in the southern province of Adana on Aug. 17.
The cause of the crash in the province's Ceyhan district is so far unknown, and the authorities have launched an investigation.
The first statement on the crash came from Adana Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, who said the drone came down in Ceyhan's Çokçapınar area.

Turkish Interior Ministry suspends three mayors from duty
The Interior Ministry suspended the mayors of the southern province of Adana's Ceyhan district, the Central Anatolian province of Kasyeri's Sarıoğlan district and Ankara's Ayaş district on June 16 as part of ongoing judicial and administrative investigations, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Students in Adana forced to go to school using horse due to minibus no-show
Students from a village in the southern Turkish province of Adana are having to travel to school in a horse-drawn cart, as the minibus that previously served them no longer comes, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Nov. 3.
Windmills of Misis comes to light
Archaeological works are continuing to unearth Roman-era windmills in the ancient city of Misis, an important Roman-era city, as part of a project titled "The Infinite City: Misis" done by Yüreğir Municipality in the southern province of Adana.
The city is located right next to the Ceyhan River, 27 kilometers east of the center of Adana on the historic Silk Road.

Ancient seal found in Tatarlı Mound
Excavations at Tatarlı Mound in the southern province of Adana's Ceyhan district have unearthed an impression seal from a monumental Hittite-era structure. The seal contains information from about 3,000 years ago. The female name "Pati" was also found on the seal.

Iraq halts pumping oil from Kirkuk into Turkey pipeline: Sources
Iraq's state-run North Oil Company stopped feeding a pipeline to Turkey with crude produced at fields it operates in the Kirkuk region three days ago, two sources said on March 14.
The order to halt pumping through the pipeline came from the oil ministry in Baghdad, a company official, who asked not be identified, said.
