Overshadowed by Lines 2 and 3 of the Athens metro and their extensions, Line 1 (known as ISAP, or "Ilektrikos"), which launched operations in 1869 and connects Kifissia with Piraeus, is still waiting to enter the 21st century.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis pledged on Monday that the main line (Line 1) of the long-delayed Thessaloniki metro project would be completed by the end of the year.

Two trains have collided near in Milavče village near the town of Domazlice, on the western border of Czechia. Local media reports that as many as 50 people are injured and rescue services are attending the scene.

Shortly after 8am (6am GMT) two trains collided in the village of Milavče, near Domazlice in Czechia's west, the country's police force said on Twitter. 

Metropolitan Mayor Yordanka Fandakova will inspect the construction of the third subway line.

Two stages of the metro line are currently under construction. Of the total length, which is 12 kilometers, 1/3 of it is already built. 

A large hole opened under a bus stop in front of the "Aleksandrovska" hospital in Sofia. The teams of the Center for Urban Mobility secure the area and dismantle the stop, reports frognews. 

The alleged causes of the collapse are the heavy rainfall of the last days and the construction activities related to the construction of the subway nearby.
