Earthquake in Greece with a Magnitude of 5.5

An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 is reported not far from the coast of the Greek Peloponnese Peninsula, reports TASS and BGNES.
 
The epicenter of the underground quake was 27 km west of the town of Methoni and 69 km southwest of the town of Kalamata. The earthquake was 30 km deep.

An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 was recorded near the northwest coast of Japan. This was announced by the US Geological Survey, quoted by TASS.
 
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the quake was 5.7 km northeast of the Oda city, the Shimane Prefecture, at a depth of 8.5 km.

An earthquake of 6 on the Richter scale shook central parts of Papua New Guinea just weeks after another powerful earthquake whose victims are now more than 30 people, reported RIA Novosti.

The epicenter of the earthquake yesterday was 83 km southwest of the city of Porghira. So far, there have been no reports of casualties and destruction.

An 8.2-magnitude earthquake hit 256 km southeast of Chiniak in Alaska, at a depth of 10 km, at 9 am and 31 min Greenwich time, said the Geophysical Institute of the United States, quoted by Reuters.

A tsunami warning of parts of Alaska and Canada has been issued after the quake, as well as a tidal wave across the western coast of the United States, the US Tsunami Observatory reports.

The quake, initially reported as magnitude 7.3, struck 51 miles east of the Loyalty Islands and was the second major tremor in the same area in less than 24 hours and the third in the past month.

6.4 magnitude earthquake hits New Caledonia

An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 struck in the Pacific Ocean, 74 kilometres (46 miles) east of the Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said on Sunday.
The quake, initially reported as a magnitude 6.6, struck at 8:25 pm in the evening (0925 GMT) at a shallow depth of 13.0 km, the USGS said.
