Mars chocolate bars recalled in Turkey amid 'plastic' row
Mars announced it has recalled a selected group of its chocolate bars sold in Turkey and more than 50 other countries in a written statement on Feb. 25, after a piece of plastic was found in one snack made in its Dutch factory.
The U.S.-based company said three different types of chocolate bars will be recalled in a limited number in the Turkish market as "a precautionary step."
Bitter backlash for Iraq's 'no chocolate' cleric
Iraqis took to social media on Feb. 22 to pile ridicule on a cleric who said in a sermon that people should cut down on chocolate bars to fight the economic crisis.

Crises no problem for chocolate consumption: Ülker
People?s chocolate consumption remains unaffected during times of crises, according to Murat Ülker, the chairman of Y?ld?z Holding which owns Ülker, the largest food company in Turkey.
?Nothing changes in the chocolate and biscuit consumption of the people,? he said during an interview with daily Hürriyet.
