Heavy rainfall causes disruptions across Attica
Heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, has been impacting several areas of Attica since the early hours of the morning.
Shortly before 7 a.m., traffic was temporarily halted in the underground section of Mesogeion Avenue at its intersection with Katechaki. However, the road was reopened soon after, despite the persistent rain.

Group claims vandalism of judicial official's apartment building
An anti-establishment group claimed responsibility on Saturday for vandalizing an apartment building's entrance on Friday night in an action targeting a judicial official in Thessaloniki, northern Greece.
Members of the group spray-painted slogans on the building's entrance and threw flyers before making off.
More mosquito spraying in northern Athens this week
The Attica Regional Authority on Monday begins the third round of spraying against mosquitoes in northern parts of the Greek capital, starting with the leafy suburbs of Papagou, Holargos, Aghia Paraskevi and Halandri, and ending on Friday with Filothei, Psychico, Kifissia and Pefki, among others.

Athens motorists are in for a headache on Tuesday as driving instructors hold a motorcade from the Transport Ministry in the northern suburbs to the city center.
Greek comedian and musician Tzimis Panousis dead at 64
The popular comedian and actor Tzimis Panousis died at the age of 64 on Saturday following a heart attack.
His death follows a string of health issues in recent years, including his collapse last December on stage which led to his hospitalization for a few days.
Dimitris Panousis was born in 1954 to a refugee family from Asia Minor and grew up in Holargos in northern Athens.
ATV owners to hold protest in Athens on Monday
Some 3,000 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are expected to travel from different parts of the country to the Transport Ministry in Holargos, northern Athens, on Monday, to demonstrate against the ministry's new highway code.
