Retail chains have indulged in an offers spree from this week in an attempt to energize the market ahead of the regular summer sales, which start on Monday, July 8 and end on August 31.

The discounts offered, both at brick-and-mortar stores and mainly through online sales channels reach as high as 50%, which according to market players suggests even greater discounts later.

Friday is the most difficult day of the weather change

Online sales volume is expected to reach a whopping 400 billion Turkish Liras ($14 billion) in November due to discount campaigns and special occasions, according to Hakan Çevikoğlu, the president of the Association of E-Commerce Operators (ETİD).

The winter sales window opens on Monday across Greece, and will stay open up to Tuesday, February 28.

Stores can also open this coming Sunday, January 15, as on the first Sunday of every sales period.

The phenomena  will start on Monday and last until Friday

Americans returned to stores for the "Black Friday" kickoff of the holiday shopping season, but online data shows that consumers have been spending big for weeks amid worries over shortages.

In November 2020, Google search interest for the term “Black Friday” fell almost 40 percent short of the 2019 level

Conversely, commercial companies count on both Black Friday and Cyber ​​Monday, escalating their communication policy with tempting offers on products that reach up to 80%.

November's shopping spree is expected to boost the sales of both physical and online retailers by as much as 60 billion Turkish Liras (around $6.2 billion).

Retailers are keenly waiting for the Singles' Day on Nov. 11, the "Legendary Friday" on Nov. 26 and the Cyber Monday on Nov. 29.

Legendary Friday is the Turkish equivalent of Black Friday.
